If you are not satisfied with a non-defective item for any reason—such as choosing the wrong size, changing your mind, or simply not liking the product in person—you may return it under the conditions described in this policy. Eligibility for Returns
To be eligible for a return on a non-defective item, the following conditions must be met:
- The return request must be initiated within a specified number of days starting from the delivery date. This window is clearly stated on your order confirmation and in your account dashboard. Requests submitted after this period will not be accepted.
- The item must be unused, unwashed, unworn, and in the same condition that you received it.
- All original tags, labels, and hang tags must be attached to the item.
- The item must be returned in its original packaging, including any boxes, poly bags, inserts, or certificates of authenticity.
- For lighting products, all components (bulbs, cords, adapters, remote controls, and mounting hardware) must be included and unused.
- The item must not be designated as a final sale or non-returnable product.
Non-Returnable Items
The following categories of products are not eligible for return under this policy:
- Clearance items or products sold as “final sale.” These will be clearly marked on the product page and during checkout.
- Personalized, customized, or made-to-order items. Once we produce an item with your specific requested details, it cannot be resold.
- Undergarments, face masks, or any items intended for hygienic reasons, once the original seal or packaging has been opened.
- Digital products, including downloadable wallpapers, virtual gift cards, or software.
- Perishable goods or items with an expiration date.
- Opened or used lighting products where the bulb has been installed or the cord has been uncoiled, unless the product is defective.
- Items that show signs of wear, washing, alteration, or damage caused by the customer.
How to Initiate a Return
To begin the return process, log into your account on Opulent Lamp and navigate to your order history. Locate the specific order and item you wish to return, then click the “Request Return” button. You will be asked to select a reason for the return and provide any additional comments. Condition of Returned Items
We inspect every returned item carefully. If an item arrives with signs of use, pet hair, smoke odor, makeup stains, deodorant marks, or any condition that suggests it was worn or used beyond trying on, we will deny the return. The item will be sent back to you, and no refund or credit will be issued. We also do not accept returns where the original tags have been removed or reattached in a different location.
Refund Options
Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your return. If approved, you will have the option to choose between two forms of compensation:
- Store Credit – This is the fastest option. Store credit is typically issued within a short number of business days after approval. Credit amounts never expire and can be used on any future purchase at Opulent Lamp.
- Refund to Original Payment Method – If you prefer a refund back to your credit card, debit card, or other payment method used at checkout, this option is also available. However, please note that processing times vary depending on your financial institution. It may take additional business days for the refund to appear on your statement.
Partial Refunds
In certain situations, we may issue a partial refund instead of a full refund. This occurs when:
- The item is returned with obvious signs of use or damage that did not exist when we shipped it.
- Any original packaging, tags, or accessories are missing.
- The return is initiated after the standard return window but we decide to accept it as a courtesy.
- The item was a bundle or part of a promotion where the free gift is not returned.
Defective or Incorrect Items
If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item (for example, the wrong size, color, or design), this is not subject to the standard return policy for non-defective items. Please do not initiate a standard return request. Instead, contact our support team directly through the website immediately. You will be asked to provide your order number, a description of the issue, and digital photographs showing the defect or error. Return Packaging
